The Hammondsport Board of Education continues to gather information from the school community on what they would like to see in the future for our athletics programs. Does the community and student body want the Board to look for a school partner for athletics? Does the community and student body want us to remain Lakers only in athletics? Does the District currently offer the sports that our students want? With class sizes projected to stay between 25- 30 students it is going to be challenging to field all of our teams at all levels in the coming years. But, before any decisions are made it is important to hear from all stakeholders. In addition to multiple surveys conducted over the last few months, Mr. Bower will be holding two town hall meetings to hear from interested people that want to share their thoughts on the future of athletics. The first town hall meeting will be held at 7pm on March 21st and the second will be held at 6pm on March 23rd before the High School Music in Our Schools concert. Both meetings will be held in room 134 on campus. Thank you to everyone that has already shared their thoughts and we hope to see many more at our upcoming meetings. Go LAKERS!
