Welcome from the Superintendent of Schools
August 2025
Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope this letter finds you well-rested, recharged, and ready for another exciting year of learning and growth at Hammondsport Central School District. It is my great honor to serve as your Superintendent and to welcome both new and returning students to what promises to be a year filled with opportunity, achievement, and connection.
The first day of classes will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and our team is eager to greet students with the same warmth, enthusiasm, and commitment that make our district such a special place. Over the summer, our buildings have been carefully prepared, our staff has engaged in meaningful professional development, and new programs and initiatives have been put in place to support academic success, social-emotional wellness, and a positive school culture.
At Hammondsport, we are proud of our close-knit community, our talented educators, and our shared belief in the potential of every student. Whether your child is entering Pre-K, stepping into high school, or somewhere in between, we are here to guide, support, and inspire every step of the way.
As we begin the new school year, I encourage all students to set goals, try new things, and take pride in being part of our Laker community. Let’s work together—families, staff, and students alike—to make this a year of excellence, resilience, and meaningful connections.
On behalf of the entire district, welcome back. Let’s make 2025–26 our best year yet!
Warm regards,
Brian M. Corey, ED.D.
