Our students were buzzing with excitement on Thursday, November 13, 2025, as we welcomed acclaimed author and illustrator James Burks for a full day of creative inspiration and literacy celebration.
Burks is best known for his popular picture books and beloved graphic novel series, including Bird & Squirrel, Agent Nine, and Box Tales. During multiple assemblies, students learned how Burks develops story ideas, designs engaging characters, and turns imagination into published books that readers of all ages adore.
