Our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students had the absolute best time recently on their field trip to the Clemens Center! They got to watch Mo Willems' beloved book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, come to life right before their eyes. 🎭✨

Last Saturday, our Juniors, Seniors and their guests danced the night away at prom held at the beautiful Glenn Curtiss Museum!
With the theme Boots, Bows, and Blue Skies, the evening was filled with great music, amazing outfits, lots of laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this special night such a success for our students!

Our talented musicians proudly performed the Star-Spangled Banner for the grand opening of Curtis Park at the end of Liberty Street. With beautiful weather and a great community turnout, it was the perfect way to celebrate the opening of this historic park!

Our 4th graders had the opportunity to visit the Genesee Country Village and Museum. The Genesee Valley region is a recreated historic village, providing context for the telling of New York State and 19th-century American history.
Chartered as an educational institution by the NYS Board of Regents, the
Museum offers opportunities to see, smell, taste, touch, explore, and experience our 68 historic buildings; more than 20,000 artifacts; wildlife paintings, drawings, and sculptures spanning centuries; the living collections in our gardens, on our working farm and at our Nature Center; and the gorgeous landscape that first brought settlers to this region.

🎉 HUGE shoutout to our amazing Girls on the Run team and the incredible HS Track girls! 🎉
Wednesday's practice 5k was a HUGE success, and we were so thrilled to have the High School Track team join us again as running buddies for each of our GOTR girls! 🥰 This annual practice is something our girls look forward to so much, and it's easy to see why.
The track team members are such fantastic role models – helpful and encouraging as our girls tackled their longest-running challenge yet! They listened attentively, offered positive support, and gently pushed our girls to set and achieve mini-goals along the way. It was truly inspiring to witness their kindness and encouragement.
The best part? At the end, our GOTR girls were already asking when the HS team could come back! 😊

The Hammondsport Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 8 new student members and 2 honorary members during a special ceremony on Friday, May 1st. New members include Madison Tears, Ashleigh Meade, Elizabeth Campbell, Orion Davis, Jovana Rosebloom, Morgan Conley, Kaitlyn Watson, Veronica Sullivan, and Lacie Bergstresser . Honorary inductees included two employees of the district, Laura Gugliotta and Carrie Crane. Students in their 11th or 12th grade of school who had a weighted GPA of at least a 90 were provided an application to apply to the NHS. After submitting their applications, an anonymous five member faculty council selected by the Principal reviewed those applications in addition to faculty feedback to make sure that each candidate met the pillars of NHS: Leadership, Scholarship, Character, and Service. A majority vote from the council was needed for selection. Members of the NHS participate in a number of group community service projects and complete at least 5 hours in an individual service project. Congratulations to the new inductees and their families!

We were incredibly lucky to host a special performance by the talented voices of the Hamilton-Gibson Children's Choir, and it was truly a treat for the ears!
Our students were treated to a high-energy, beautiful setlist that bridged generations. The choir showcased their impressive range, moving seamlessly through a variety of genres.

Our Physics and Integrated Science students had an electrifying day of learning! ⚡🔬
They kicked things off with a visit to the Monroe County Crime Lab, where they explored different areas of forensic science and got a behind-the-scenes look at how science helps solve real-world mysteries 🕵️♂️
The adventure continued at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, where students experienced electricity from inside a Faraday Cage (yes—inside 😮) and checked out a wide variety of interactive exhibits.
A day full of science, discovery, and hands-on fun—what a great experience for our students!
