¡Hola! College-level Spanish students have been busy researching and presenting on opportunities for ecotourism throughout Mexico and Central America... With a little help from Pre-K Future Spanish Star Karson! Students and friends came to watch the presentations and we're all feeling ready for our own Spanish Club ecotourism adventure in less than two months to Costa Rica. I'll be travelling with 18 students to explore the volcanos, rainforests, cloud forests, hot springs, beaches, and all the incredible culture that Costa Rica has to offer. It will be the trip of a lifetime ¡Pura vida!

What an incredible day of words, wit, and wisdom! Today, we hosted our Annual Glenn Curtiss Spelling Bee, and we couldn't be prouder of all our participants.
From our youngest competitors in 1st grade to our seasoned pros in 6th grade, every student showed amazing courage and focus up on that stage. It takes a lot of grit to stand in front of a crowd and tackle those tricky vowels!

Our science classes have been buzzing with excitement! In Integrated Science, students have been wrapping up their Environmental Science and Groundwater units, while Earth and Space Science students have been diving into geologic hazards like earthquakes and volcanoes. Before break, our science students also had an amazing opportunity to attend a STEM Day event sponsored by Corning Community College and the Career Development Council. It was a great experience filled with learning, exploration, and inspiration!
We are proud of all these kids for their hard work and commitment to learning their music and improving their abilities on their instruments!
