Our Glenn Curtiss 6th graders experimented with electromagnetism yesterday with science educator Mr. McLaren from the Science and Discovery Center.




Our Elementary Science Club met today with 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Harriger. These budding scientists were busy learning how to make bouncy balls. They also learned that science can be messy!

Thank you to the HCS voters who came out on December 12th to cast their vote on our proposed capital project. The proposition for the $14 million dollar capital project was successful, passing 151-42! Design work will begin immediately with hopes of starting construction over the summer of 2026! Go LAKERS!!

Today, Glenn Curtiss Elementary School held its annual Celebration of Giving, during which students from each grade level shared about their service projects and giving back to the Hammondsport community.











The students at Glenn Curtiss Elementary had some special holiday visitors visit them this morning. There were lots of smiles and excited faces.

2024 Capital Project Vote 12:00pm-8:00pm in the Elementary Gymnasium


On Thursday and Friday our HCS students had the privilege of working singer/actor William Martinez. He shared his keynote The Power of Belonging with students 5-12, worked with our drama club, and once again worked with students PK-6 teaching them ASL in the classroom.








Mr. Bower will be providing information to the community on the proposed capital project on Thursday, December 5th @ 6:00pm in the auditorium.


The Bath Area Family Resource Center has a variety of fun holiday activities during the month of December!
