2024 Capital Project Vote 12:00pm-8:00pm in the Elementary Gymnasium

On Thursday and Friday our HCS students had the privilege of working singer/actor William Martinez. He shared his keynote The Power of Belonging with students 5-12, worked with our drama club, and once again worked with students PK-6 teaching them ASL in the classroom.







Mr. Bower will be providing information to the community on the proposed capital project on Thursday, December 5th @ 6:00pm in the auditorium.

The Bath Area Family Resource Center has a variety of fun holiday activities during the month of December!

ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY – Superintendent
The Board of Education of the Hammondsport Central School District is seeking a highly qualified leader to be its Superintendent of Schools. GST BOCES District Superintendent Stacy Saglibene is assisting the Hammondsport Board of Education with the selection process. On Friday, November 9th Glenn Curtiss Elementary honored our hometown heroes during our annual Veteran's Day Ceremony. Thank you to all who served and are currently serving.

On Halloween night, The Hammondsport National Honor Society held their annual Trick-Or-Treat Food Drive for Fishes and Loaves, the local food pantry. HCS Seniors Allison, Arielle, Logan, Silas, Zayda, LaZell, Corinne, Brooke, Silas, and Keegan were all humbled and inspired by our community's support, hauling in 185 more pounds of goods than last year for families in need in our area... A total of 786 pounds! Thank you to the Hammondsport NHS as well as the community for making this amazing thing happen!


The weather was perfect for the annual Halloween parade. Our students and staff all looked amazing. There was fun to be had all over the building.

Hammondsport Central School has a probationary appointment for District Clerk (Civil Service: Exempt Class Position) available. This is a 12- month, full time position with an anticipated start date of February 3, 2025.

On October 15th, Librarian Mrs. Robarge helped organize an incredible opportunity for our 4th graders to learn more about Native American Culture. She contacted Duane Saxton, who came to talk to our 4th graders about the rich history of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy in NYS. He was a wealth of information for our kids.
