Today Glenn Curtiss Elementary celebrated our PK Celebration and PK500. The future is so bright for these little Lakers! Dream Big, Work Hard, and Fly High Class of 2037!











Our 4th graders recently took field trips to Camp Corey and the Finger Lakes Boating Museum. We are so fortunate to provide our students with these exciting opportunities!






Congratulations to 3rd graders Misha Carey and Katelynn Wakeman and 5th graders Cierra Mack and Sabrina Orr on receiving the annual Hammondsport Teachers Association Underclass Awards for the 2023-2024 school year. Their teachers and school community are so proud of their achievement!




Yesterday, our third graders had the opportunity to visit the Ithaca Sciencenter. The exhibits are designed to build science process skills and provide interactive experiences that explore topics such as the environment, climate change, astronomy, and the health of the oceans.


Due to unforeseen circumstances, the HCS PTO & Class of 2025 will not be able to host the HCS Glenn Curtiss Elementary Family Fun Night scheduled for June 5th.

On Friday, our second-grade students had the special opportunity to learn about the Civil War. Their day was filled with learning about how secret messages were sent, how to make dolls, dancing, and so much more!

On May 22nd, our Glenn Curtiss Elementary students in grades 1st-6th learned about Bike Safety from Officer Stremel and the Steuben County Sheriff's Department.






On May 20th, our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders participated in our annual career day. We were very fortunate to have members of our Hammondsport community come and present to our students. A special "Thank You" to the following people:
